Today its bounced back.. but it can happen in America very easily. and it can happen to cash flow real estate I witnessed it first hand.. it was not the govmit taking your money it was the free market deciding what you invested in was not worth what you paid.

@Brandon Turner  tourism in Hawaii is at an all time high and RE has bounced back accordingly.

Sorry to hear the recession took a big hit on you, but it's great to hear how you're bouncing back with a different approach.

I'm already familiar with residential buy and hold real estate but I could use a crash course on the STR nuances and a community of people doing deals to bounce ideas and questions off of.  

We have a strong economy, the government is doing a great job of trying to prevent a meltdown.Once this is over I believe the economy and jobs will bounce back.

I think it will be like times before where everyone predicted a huge default wave but then many investors were competing for actually the few that did and the rest did a workout and bounced back just fine.Worst hit retail centers likely cold belt states in weak suburban to rural areas.

In a couple weeks when you clear that check and their damage deposit bounces at their new place that might really upset the apple cart.
