If it were me I’d pick up rent or have the tenant send electronically and until they missed a payment they would be on auto-pilot.

I prefer tenants use electronic payment, so a bank account is needed for that too.I get your point that some people do not have bank accounts, but that is more common on C or D properties with lower rent/income situations.

Yes, it costs me some commission management fees, but for me... it's worth every penny, I simply look at accounting sheets, and electronically check bank account to see money has been deposited.I have a friend who owns a Property Management company in the Knoxville / Louisville / Maryville, TN area.
