Possibility of sports gambling?

I imagine they are similar to the world Marty McFly found himself in in Back to the Future II when old Biff went back in time to steal the sports almanac and middle-aged Biff was now running Hill Valley.  

Real estate markets are slow to respond to any stimulus, so how could a one time sporting event having any significant long term impact on a real estate market?

I've reached the point where I can't even look at a late-model sports car being driven on the street and not laugh.

But this sport is about financing.

In my area distressed properties from wholesalers usually are in distressed areas so the purchase is a gamble on the condition of the property, a gamble on the area than a gamble on hired contractors.

Usually work related, sometimes for sporting events, weddings, arts and crafts shows, etc.

Most of the other applicants fell into the "may or may not pay rent on time" category but were good people.The two year lease is a bit of a gamble, if the tenants are bad.
