If the ACH bounces, they still pull the funds back.

In other words, if a tenant pays with checks that consistently bounce, would requiring cash be considered a "system?"  

Needless to say, you need to bounce this tenant asap

It's when you have a tenant complaint, a fire, or code violation and your inspections are not up to date, then it comes out that you're not in compliance and they hit you with a bigger bat.They may tweak the inspector requirement to a licensed inspector, you can look for that lobby to bounce in.

@Brian Illingworth  you are correct the bounced check does come into play.

I love the positive mindset offered by everyone here and can already tell this will be a great place to bounce around different ideas. 

If they are at all motivated, they will bounce back into talking about the house or the tenant issues.

thats landlording.but seriously banks already do this... there is a data base for those that bounce too many checks their SS is flagged and they can no longer open checking accounts anywhere in the US..  

If we had done a full background check we would have found out she had a terrible track record and has bounced around a LOT.
