And is it common to have a personal endorsement in order to protect an LLC owner personally - especially if the owner will be actively involved in the remodeling process (LLC comprised of self & spouse with no employees - only independent contractors)?

For me, the short version is that I want financial independence with the ability to work only as many hours as I want and from anywhere I want, and I want the financial ability to help others with my time or finances.
