I have received some questions about the ability to use this strategy, but I have checked with both 1031 exchange specialists and CPAs and I am satisfied with their positive input. 

I am also looking for a reliable handyman, yard and house cleaning person, small bathroom remodel specialist etc.

I had to go to a mortgage specialist “SWBC mortgage servicing” to even get the loan.

Have you discussed this question with a 1031 Exchange Specialist?

I plan to avoid investing in any areas where that's a law unless I find out it's so widespread, it's unavoidable. 

Now, i don't know how widespread this really is, but something to ponder.

Look for warning signs on your tour, and maybe try to get an "estimate" or a "checkup" from a specialist before you get the home inspection.

Megan - thanks ... you might want to get several agents working in tandem for you as the areas you outlined are varied / widespread .... maybe a " team " of agents will be best approach If using a loan to purchase - get pre approved ( if you haven't already done so ).... thanks
