My logic behind that is i would be getting more income with more tenants(still exploring this thought, i do see some flaws as having an overcrowded property, tenants expecting the market value of the rent being split between all persons living in the property, is this legal?!?!

Some teach...I think "retire" is a term that needs explored.

I'm a newbie investor who recently purchased a duplex through a company here on BP that has an excellent reputation, and stellar reviews.  

I feel like I'm being too paranoid about this, my area isn't a big one and I just want to make sure I don't shoot my reputation in the foot before I get started.

@James Paisley if you decide to explore the hard money option, I know a private lender in this area I can refer you to if need be. 

If funds are low you may want to look into wholesaling, but be forewarned reputation is everything, and wholesaling is a lot of hard work...If you want to learn how to wholesale correctly, I recommend Vena Jones-cox out of Cincinnati..
