Without any immediate family or friends in the real estate business, I don't have that person to bounce ideas off of and thats what makes this platform so useful. 

It's a great site to gain information about REI and meet people, not only with similar interests, but those you can bounce ideas off of.

I grew up 20 min south, bounced around with the army had a few years on Long Island came back to B-lo to finish school and picked up our first property while I did that.

There are lots of people saying that Detroit will bounce back and many predict sooner than later.
