From my experience, success in real estate investing starts with clearly defining your goals and continuously educating yourself through podcasts, books, forums, and courses.

I would recommend finding a way to continue to practice in some capacity, at the very least to cover living expenses.

Should I continue mediation or pursue legal action (considering the time and costs involved)?

We have had hosts on the platform since then that are continuing to do well and add units.

One of the constants that I still see from when I first started on BP in early 2016 is the willingness of experienced ( some on this very thread ) folks in different aspects of real estate to try and help newbies and others with advice and perspective.I think it really is a testament to the fact that even though the investing environment has undergone many changes over those years the willingness to continue to help others has not changed.It helped me tremendously when I had to crash course on small MF ownership and I am grateful to all who helped with posts that they didn't even know that I had read and learned from.And yes the search function remains fairly useless and unchanged in that regard since then to the detriment of us all.

New to real estate but possess a deep understanding of the responsibilities to continue to gain knowledge and remain loyal with my clients and professionally with my colleagues.  

A couple other neighborhoods I like besides the two you mentioned are Washington Park, Hyde Park, Woodlawn, and South Shore.I think that area will continue to be gentrified because you have the lakefront as well as CTA trains.Is there any reason you are targeting Chicago instead ofdoubling down in Kansas City?

I also purchased a multi-parcel farm property in TN where the trust who owned the property was out of money and needed cash to continue. 

If these servicing companies can’t get their act together and this pain in the neck activity continues, we may just pay these loans off entirely or refinance with our local credit union.
