A $500 deductible is very reasonable for a condominium unit with no wind/hail exposure so even if something goes wrong I will have the funds on hand to pay the deductible.

I wouldn't quit.You don't give any information about your current portfolio, but to me, it seems as though you are throwing a hail mary and hoping it works.
