Does it have shared systems you have to manage or separate utilities for everyone? 

Yeah there are some salespeople out there but there are a ton of investors that are willing to share their knowledge and experience.

Any advice that can be shared to try and get over this hurdle to be able to expand our portfolio? 

I'd love to connect and share how I could possibly be beneficial.

We have had duplexes with shared water, sewer, and trash billing, as well as shared driveways.The long term tenants act more like owner occupants, planting flowers, etc. and in some cases neighbors think that they are the owners. 

Dominic, I've found that participating on BiggerPockets forums, appearing on podcasts, and speaking at conferences have built trust with first-time passive investors when those forum posts, podcast discussions, and conference presentations show my experience, track record, and market knowledge to those reading, listening, or attending.This doesn't mean "selling from the stage", but instead, sharing actionable, useful information that I've gleaned from my many years of experience and from my own research.
