I took a screen shot of the dollar cost of the airline ticket along with the point requirement, but not sure how this scenario works.I have family in these same towns, so I typically only deduct the plane fare (no hotels, gas, meals, etc.), since the business aspects are completed in a single day and I usually stay for a week.

In NYC, you would had been charged around $100-$150 plus supplies depending on where, gas, tolls, parking (yes this is a thing in NYC) for both.

I would personally always recommend using licensed and insured contractors - especially for hazardous trades such as gas and electrical.

A bottle of water can be $.50 at the grocery store, $1.50 at the gas station, $2.50 at the gym, $3.00 at the movies and $6.00 on the plane… the same is true for real estate.

Yeah go to the closest gas station and sit there for 10 min, who is going in and out are more people walking in than cars, the location of an investment is the one thing that you can't change.
