Hi every body,I am a newbie at this site but an old hat to Real Estate Investment.

I put a bid on a property and they want 10% of the bid price as a deposit and they want to fine me $100 a day that I don't close on the closing date (30 days). and they want to put a 3 month deed restriction on the property that I can't make over 20% of the cost I payed for the property.

so is this like extreme home makeover where they Lease the property for $X.?

Unfortunately, there is no real government body that regulates the running of condo and housing associations, and many of them are riddled with fraud and mis-management.

These homes that I will make over 100k on, were just purchased this year, after many days on the market.

I find the body of the message should be as short as possible.

It wasn't so much the burn or the dead person so much as it was the fact i couldn't see any burn damaage which says to me that it was hidden, but possibly not repaired.The dead person alone wouldn't have been a deal-breaker but I was told the body was not discovered for "some time"Anyhow, I think I made the right decision, but I am not going to let it discourage me.
