Everything that the tenant puts up as a widow treatment requires approval.

The lady wants to sell/get out from under the house but has 2 big problems. 1) The house belongs to her mother (widow) but the mother passed away two years ago.

The example has a woman who is a Widower and lives in a 3 Bedroom regulated apt, but was not asked to down size after her family reduced in size.In defense, however, I would ask how often does this happen?

I came to an agreement with a widow on the sale price of a piece of raw land.

All that being said, given the widowed owner is not interested in being a real estate investor/landlord (and is liquidating properties) and there are no offers currently on the property, we decided to make a low offer of $75k with 3rd party inspection contingency.  

., the guy who just about lost his shirt and needs to liquidate his assets for $0.70 (or even $0.85 for crying out loud) on the dollar--and these kinds of people typically would need a cash, not an FHA, buyer anyway--or that older widow who's sick of dealing with tenants but still wants the monthly cash flow and would be open to seller financing.
