This whole thing reminds me of the commercial where someone tries to do surgery because they stayed at a LaQuinta Inn & Suite.     

For the most part its just health and safety items, which are items we should have remedied anyways.As someone else mentioned, biggest thing to avoid is having the house tagged as vacant which the city will do if it sits empty for too long (handful of months, grass not cut, etc).

it's not rocket surgery...it's just numbers. 

I rebuilt it in 2005-2006 and did a total rehab and massive mold remediation.

Now we are more selective.The worst were those with flea infestations, flooded basements, burst pipes throughout & then mold remediation. 

Talk to a mold remediation person.  

Often times the inspection can be scary, but reality can be remedied easily.  

It would be nice if the SEC or the Texas Attorney General proposed some legal remedies. 

Or if anyone has had any other similar investigations with remediation in the area.  

I filed an insurance claim on our landlord insurance and got a remediation team in there immediately to stop the damage.
