I don't care if I'm ahead or behind of anyone else because my goals are not relative to anyone else's progress.I get your point that staying active keeps your skills sharp and that if you're active when others aren't you will have access to opportunities that they do not.

There are likely active real estate investing groups for Tacoma and the surrounding area.

He’s got a solid reputation and is an active member of the local REIA.

Orlando has a very active real estate investing community with many meetups for different niches.

I’m currently active on BiggerPockets to connect with like-minded investors, exchange ideas, explore potential opportunities, and provide opportunities through my network to collaborate with others.

I live here and I haven't seen more FSBO but I'm seeing a lot more wholesaling activity.  

Real estate investing can be a great way to build additional streams of income (that may eventually surpass your active income) when coupled with maximizing tax benefits REI provides, using leverage strategically, investing in good locations that appreciate well and staying consistent to continually build your portfolio for many years.
