For years I have had a credit score over 800.Now that I am investing in real estate, it is plummeting.

Now both of us are working so we might just be able to make it and take care of other expenses but our monthly savings will plummet.

There's a theory that the bronze age collapse several thousand years ago was caused by using something useful (bronze) as currency for a long time, and that thing that was the basis for currency suddenly being less useful (iron invented), leading to all the stores of wealth (bronze, or currency backed by bronze) plummeting in value, and a downward spiral from there.

This is a reaction to their plummeting user base / customers.

New home construction in the town plummeted (economy was surely a factor as well).
