You can try and the worst thing you may here is "Go away".Some states consider intervening in pre-foreclosure to be predatory and have laws against it, but ASKING is not intervening.

@Paul Alberry I had a Tenant call a couple of months ago when she claimed another Tenant walked in on her using a key.I called his wife first to try and intervene because the Tenant said she was calling the cops.Then I installed new locks, placed the new keys in a coded lock box and charged $20/lock.

If you have "very little savings" and are struggling already to cover loans and notes that you have out.... and your family is concerned enough to "intervene".... you are not really in a position to "start your business", if, by that, you mean real estate investing.
