@Megan Phillips , the batteries on the cordless handheld tools have greatly improved in the last 5-10 years.

They then follow the cable with a handheld locator and plot your sewer line as it makes its way to the curb.

I plan on replacing with tile.I have tried a 5 inch scraper with a 4 foot handle, then I tried the same scraper and a 3 lb sledge, then I tried a hand held vibrating scraper you buy at Harbor Freight. 

Store it on a handheld GPS.

Personally, I don't really have to have my hand held so if I only got a chance to do a face to face meeting every now and then and other times, follow up via email, text, skype or phone that would suffice.Just a little food for thought,Anyway, I wish you all the best and I plan to rent one of your vacation homes for the winter in the next year or so.

It has become clear to me that while I don't need my hand held, frequent  communication with the PM is a necessity.

I am interested in map/location IDXs which can be run on hand held devices.Also, are there MLS sites which will allow me to download raw data for "FREE"?

I am not asking to have my hand held , but to learn what I can from someone with more experience .

I don't need my hand held, but would like some guidance and ease of communication.
