In my view an STR that does not project far over a 1% rent to cost ratio is going to bleed cash in our market.  

Agree that it is better to stop the bleeding, rent it at the lower rent with a term to end in a hopefully more favorable renewal time.  

While I don't think there's going to be a crash, I do think we'll see a reversion to mean in which a lot of the aggressive investors on the bleeding edge of the risk frontier get smashed.
