Please correct me if I'm wrong but the BAH is paid at the stated rate regardless if that is the actual cost of your housing so try to reduce your actual housing expenses and pocket the difference.

I am considering a 15 year with 10% down with the VA Loan, because 10% brings the VA Funding Fee down to 1.25% and there is no PMI with the VA Loan. 15 year instead of 30 for the lower interest rates and where we are Mil to Mil our combined BAH is going to be about 2,700$/Month which will be more than enough to cover a 15 year loan on a house that is 200-220K
