At 26, having 4 properties and looking for more is quite the story.KeyBank man should be ashamed of himself.I'd disagree with some of the assumptions in this thread.Rate locks don't need to be for more than 30 days.  45 days can cost you a quarter point depending on the lender and it's really not necessary.Always remember that origination points and discount points are two distinctly different things.For us, some origination fees can be just 2 points and some are just 3 points.

But maybe that's just me...In your case, it sounds like they have buyer's remorse and are ashamed to tell you after signing, but also don't be surprised if they show up on the 31st. 

If you are ashamed to have them know it you are doing something wrong.

But touting the fee and inspection “for guest safety” but not inspecting and only collecting the fee is terribly dishonest and a sham, as you already mentioned.

It would be a shame if the city were to force me to convert the duplex back into a single family.Would you be willing to connect?
