Hey All, I'll be traveling to Costa Rica for a wedding  and wanted to explore the market while I'm visiting.

Our management company currently collects a traditional deposit from all tenants, including traveling healthcare professionals.

That could be a short term rental where people stay a couple nights at a time, someone coming to town for a work purpose for a few or several months at a time like a traveling nurse who signs a contract for several months. 

I have lived in Hawaii for many years but now that I’m a traveling healthcare provider, I am off island more often than not.When I’m not on contract I would love to have a place to return to and when I’m away I would love to rent it out for some additional income.

But traveler demographics will overlap most of the time, especially in larger homes.

Do you want to be an active investor, building those systems and teams while traveling to do so or would you prefer something more passive?

I like following stock markets, cryptocurrency markets and love to travel. 

Both Raleigh and Greensboro have their advantages, but with your experience in Greensboro and proximity to Cone Hospital, MTR (mid-term rentals) could be a strong option, especially for traveling nurses or medical professionals.

Make sure that your area states it directly.Otherwise, let the booking site handle things. 28 days isn't that long IMHO depending on the area or reason for traveling. 

If this will be your first rental, I would probably wait a year or so after renting it before scaling into more properties, especially if you will be traveling.
