I’m curious about your experience renting. you can...i basically just found a really responsible relative and convinced them to move into our upstairs apartment for the same rent they were paying at their old place. twice the size and much more beautiful. we figured it was best to charge less than market rent and have peace of mind with someone we knew to be responsible than to try to charge market rate and play russian roulette with tenants in the Bronx.

Hi @Luca Dal Molin , Im also in Dubai and I work on the other side of the radio, air traffic control.Ive been looking at the Dubai RE and I dont thin its a good idea to invest here right now, however IMO this is going to change in the next year or so,  due to oil price and possibly weakening of the USD which will make house prices more affordable for Russian, Pakistani and Indian investors.

I spent 1 month there back in the early '80's on my Aust. passport & also picked up a little of Russian by necessity.One intriguing issue I found in coastal construction, particularly the various early 1920's Mansions, was the structural failure of the cement used.

Account Closed  there are all kinds.... in our area we have a very big Russian community. and they are fierce negotiators and one of their favorite tactics is to on the day of closing when everyone has their moving trucks and life plans put together.. they want to renegotiate and take some amount of money off can be small 2 to 5k or more.
