It depends on who you're hiring but that seems fairly standard.  

On our first house we have a standard key and have an extra key onsite in a lockbox in case for any maintenance and lockouts.

In my market, I only have one vendor qualified for appliance warranty work, and the warranty companies paid him half his standard fee for each service call. 

I alwasy respond yes and ask my standard follow up questions and never once have they responded back to schedule a showing.
