After all was said and done,  I went to post the notice on the tenant's door and found aother window that was tucked away in the hallway that allowed for access to the roof.  

However, I can promise you if your comparables have very open floorplans and high end finishes, you will take a hit by having a kitchen tucked away in the back of the house without a doubt.

I'm running the numbers on how much I need to tuck away per month to be ready for "X" down the road (roof, major paint jobs, ACs...).

And seeing as this money is retirement money that I previously had 'safely' tucked into the stock market I'm even more careful about it.  

The fence tucks underneath and so do all the accessories.

I looked at about 15 homes on my search but ended up purchasing the first home I saw: an adorable 2 1/2 bedroom, 1 bath tucked away up a hill and surrounded by succulents.

I'm not saying the city isn't right on this matter, I'm just saying don't tuck your tail and run right away, educate yourself on the matter.        

I'm going to tuck that one in my back pocket for later.

Building does not have parking spaces in the back (as majority of the buildings in the area do) so i would need to add that once i get it, units are a bit outdated, roof needs to be replaced in the next 1-3 years, tuck pointing may be needed in the next 3 years.

Some folks abandon a property early so they can go buy something else with the cash they've been tucking away before their credit takes the hit.
