Living at home with family in NY Can I purchase a home in SC with an FHA Loan and make it my primary residence, but still be living with family in NY while contractor work is being done on SC property.

I live on a septic and I get being worried about this, but I would do more research before you make that decision! 

If they want to live in a well-maintained home, they will comply.

If you don't have a realtor involved, often you are going to get to live with those things for as long as you own the house. 

We did live-in flips while stationed in a variety of places with the military. 

Are you simply assigning the current lease (1 year left) or are you writing an extension for a longer term beyond the one year in addition to the assignment?

I did a 3/2 live in flip and am closing on a duplex that is a 2/1 on both sides in Gastonia.

If you are not planning on living there too, you would only be able to offer a gift to that person and you would likely not qualify as an eligible gift donor unless you are closely blood related.
