Some stuff was justifiable, like new tires for her car, clothes for her kids and $300 on a meal (assuming it was a big treat for the family).

Ask for money back at settlement, To repair stuff, settlement cost, just because you want to use LESS of your own money or you might want to celebrate the great deal you just made and take your wife or partner out for an expensive meal after settlement!
