Side by side in my opinion is better than upper lower because the tenants do not have to deal with noise the from the upstairs tenant bothering the lower tenant.

Many tenants have so infrequently received their deposits back they consider it a fee so have no incentive to sweep before sliding a heavy piece of furniture or stop sliding if they hear a scratching noise, etc.

The building is a high rise and has had problems with noise transmission from prior installs so no one is allowed to put in laminate or similar now - it must be carpet.There is a lighter shade that I quite like, but the advice I had read was dark shades are best in rentals.All advice welcome.

hi there , I am researching next next best cities  that might boom , like example: Dallas TX/Austin TX, to buy land around , rental properties etc , identify next growing cities in the next 5-10 yrs or so,  please include possible reasons on why these cities might boom .This research should be ongoing on this thread for the next 6 months or so, so we can weed out noise and get to facts.Hope enough people will participate.Thanks.
