Subchapter G.If the personal holding company tax (IRC Sec 541-547) doesn't bite you the accumulated earnings tax (IRC Sec 531-537) will.The IRC strongly disincentivizes C Corporations to accumulate earnings & profits in excess of bonafide business needs. 

If that is true,  I would buy and hold the properties in a self directed Ira or 401k and start accumulating tax free income for life -to be most efficient.

Nice story, I am accumulating capital for first deal aiming at multifamily while reading everything I can and it's difficult because the people who usually support me think I'm going to fail.

I recently sold my first property (I've historically been more of a buy and hold kinda guy), and I'm struggling with the QB journal entry to close out the property.I know I need to debit my asset accounts and credit my contra-asset accumulated depreciation accounts.

If you're buying deals like that, you don't want to accumulate too many (really, any) or you'll go under.The idea here is to make money, not accumulate property.

Either way the value usually holds.i.e. one is wealth accumulation while the other is wealth preservation?
