Not sure how law makers or regulators could penalize supposed wholesale buyers more than they penalize any other buyer that fails to perform.

You could alternatively consider hiring an experienced short sale negotiator that has dealt with BofA because they would likely have the connections & know-how to deal with a decision maker.

But either way its a free country and its up to our law makers and law enforcement folks to enforce the rules of the road if they don't wish to.. then its wide open and free to all. and Caveat emptor is the rule of law.. 

Unlike Gypo's we paid cash before we moved onto the property.. we bought the timber deed.. our competition basically tried to assign.. we killed those guys. as we were talking 100k to multi millions for these stands.. and let me tell you when make a deal and close it in 3 to 5 days for cash thats the difference maker.
