This property was a bit more complicated than most, since it was technically still owned by the estate of the mother, and probate was never done, even though she had passed away in late 2012.

I expect to move every two years, which isn’t enough time to recover closing cost, etc and might have to float the mortgage while finding another place for the family and oh btw my BAH may decrease at my next duty station which further complicates the problem.

It's one thing if you wanted to get into note investing and that were an exit strategy you'd have in your pocket, I think it's way too much if it's your chief strategy.I agree with Odie that this is too complicated for your main investment strategy.
