The programs that don't follow those rules don't get the Fannie/Freddie subsidy on the back end, so that loss of back-end profit will be made up for by you, on the front-end, paying a higher rate, higher fees, worse terms, some combination thereof.

I receive monthly payments from a personal injury settlement, but because this does not count as income, I don’t believe I can get approved for a regular home loan program even though I have an excellent credit score and some cash for a down payment.

I also had good experiences with Section 8......Yes I know many people don't like the program.....but from my experience it can work out great.....there are far more vouchers out there then landlords willing to take them and it allowed me to cherry pick the best applicants and have a lot of stability and low turnover rates as a result of that.Don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to go into a deeper conversation.

I’m not familiar with any programs using section 8 for hotel rooms but my guess would be that unless the rooms have kitchens it could be a tough sell.
