Or is it better to just rely on a good handyman or repair person on staff/retainer/rolodex.As @Joe Splitrock said, I have found that the adage of "they don't make them like they used to" seems to apply to most mechanical and electrical devices these days.

I also use the Schlage Camelot door locks, and a small iHome device that monitors temp/humidity/lumens and sound in the house. 

If there's neither safety device is in place I'd say absolutely one needs to be installed.I have an engineering degree and I'm in and out of automotive plants a lot and I could also do all these things. 

Hi @Ali Ebrahimi, did you ever get any traction with the foreclosure/auction thing?

The dryers had a coin slot, but the washers took more money and had a coin slide device.Someone figured out early that year that if you put quarters in every slot of the coin slide and pushed the coins halfway in, just short of the point when the coins fell through the slots in the device, and then put all your weight on the slide and physically yanked the slide out again, the washer would turn on and you would get a free cycle without paying.

Things that you notice may have gotten you traction, things to stay away from, etc. 

I’ve not had any issues on a PC or iPad, any recent updates to whatever device you’re using? 

Which device and version of of the os are you using? 

There are devices to place on water heaters if there are multiple but only one hvac.
