The investor acquired these properties in 5 years via repetitive house hacking (they house hacked a new place every year for 5 years) ...now you can see the cost of waiting to invest--if that investor had waited just 12 months to get their first property, the opportunity cost would be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
