I am going through the same dilemma with hardwood, but have opted to refinish them.

It also has a full attic which I will refinish giving me another 5-700 sqft.

I have existing butcher block counters in good shape, should I leave them or refinish them or replace them?

I am currently rehabbing the home, refinishing flooring, paint, and making the basement a rec room.

The plan is to do a full refinish at some point, so if whatever we do won't do serious damage (beyond having to refinish the floors) then we're good.If you've done this, please share how it went.

Sebastian, The kitched appliances look quite outdated and the hardwood floors do look like they would need to be refinished.

This one needs minimal updates (paint, refinish existing hardwood floors, update kitchen cabinets (small kitchen, which is customary to area)).

By October 2016, the condo was mine.Since then, my husband and I have done about $4000 of renovations to the condo (repainted walls and ceiling, refinished the hardwood floor, fixed up and reframed the electric fireplace, crazy amount of cleaning, refinished the sink, put in new blinds, brighter lighting fixtures, etc).  

New bathroom, new kitchen, refinish hardwood floors.

It will be a fairly large job - new kitchen, take down some walls, refinish hardwoods, etc.
