While they cannot be considered rooms, they will bring in an additional $$ each and every month.If you have a mixed-use or multi-family, consider adding a laundry room, vending, etc.  

I looked into trying to house hack in LA, with roommates or multi family but it just doesn’t seem worth it with the numbers. 

We only do mixed-use and multi-family.A $100 a month per door isn't worth my time.

Best part is NJ is not what its made out to be in terms of landlord friendly, the state gets portrayed as the entire state being bad when really most wacky laws are in the major cities and they apply to 5 units or more.  2-4 unit multi families fly below radar per say.

For our next play we want to get into a single or multi-family, and preferably participate in what seems like a booming market in Florida. 

I plan to purchase another Multi-family in the next year or so (sooner if the right one comes along).

When you say multi-family, are you thinking of buying a 2-4 unit?

Understand cash flow lower then say 500 bucks a month is a myth anyway.
