It appears that many landlords are unaware of how to stay out of costly County Court after a tenant appeals a Justice Court (JP Small Claims court) judgment in the landlord's favor. 

We're not afraid at all at going to the Justice Court on this.

Always best to check with your local justice of the peace or city court where the eviction would take place for the subject property.

The leadership of the city doing what is in the best interest of their citizens instead of the latest bright-shiny to chase around social justice warrior nonsense is a pretty easy bet to make. 

I have only a couple tenants who needed some extra time to pay rent and none on rent strike.My view is that this situation is not about tenants or social justice but rather political theater for people with extreme points of view to get attention. 

Real estate is a hobby and just icing on the cake.

Considering that was two weeks ago, surely the wheels of justice don't turn that fast, right?!

It's tricky, as it quickly goes to a social justice argument and things rarely get done after that starts... 

Something tells me the guy, being so out of touch with the contemporary ''mob justice: more free S__T'' crowd will fold/wilt under pressure, and make concessions to them.On your dime.
