I do think that new investors should spend a lot more time doing research on their own with books, internet education, and Bigger Pockets before ever considering any high level coaching programs. 

On top of an already steep monthly (that does include cable, internet, snow removal, amenities) it definitely makes me re-think my strategy! 

Remember, this was a long time before we had use of the internet or anything else we think of as “technology” today1.

Some mentees will act as a bloodhound for the mentor, knocking on doors, driving for dollars, scouring the internet, making cold calls, or performing other services that help the mentor find new deals.

Sometimes you have kids who know nothing about the website's topic (in this case, real estate investment) just spamming the threads, and other times you inadvertently punish seasoned pros who simply aren't good at being online or using the internet. 

You will need to search the internet.

and think about the advantage you would have over the other Allan Kapoors wanting to do everything from Internet if you're building relationships and developing expertise in person.and no, those numbers don't seem safe / conservative enough.
