We would have been better off discounting the rent 7% and finding tenants that would respect our property and rent year after year.  

And then looking for rental properties that you can buy for a discount and that cash flow too. 

Also you can get your real estate license at a discount through Premier Point Realty or Homestead Realty. 

So don't discount it at all.Don't be impulsive, be calculated.

Talk to my property manager about canceling the 2 bookings and offer the house to people that have been displaced and can pay thru FEMA assistance at a discounted rate.

In Madison, and I assume your market, we have always had discount broker options to basically just get your listing on the MLS and not much else as well as sellers just exposing it to the market themselves off the MLS and hoping to maybe pay no buyer agent commission, where the buyers have no agent they are working with or the buyer agrees to pay their agent directly.

@Rich Solano Need to lock those up at deeper discounts shoot for 30% minimum remember market values are still inflated in many cases, if you only buy with a 10% discount and we get a strong market correction you'll be in a tough spot.

Some of these loans (or even the lenders themselves) have or will sell at a discount, and to the new buyer (maybe a loan to own buyer?)
