Here's the dilemma: there are PLENTY of other municipalities in KC metro to shop, and so far, my strategy is to avoid KCMO proper (it's always been tenant friendly since I started following a decade ago, but created a whole new dept in the wake of affordability crisis-- see this press release from earlier this year).

They're having the same mental health crisis that's hitting the Zoomers, but rather than culturally induced madness, it's the complete lack of anything resembling a reasonable opportunity that's causing a lot of Chinese youth to basically drop out of the rat race.

Those renters who bailed without paying rent will likely declare bankruptcy.In the final analysis, the victims are small mom/pop landlords and MF Cos. who will have to liquidate the Real Estate assets to protect themselves from bleeding furthering the crisis of liquidity in that Real Estate Class.

I have lived in the SF Bay Area my whole life but it is my belief that the climate crisis will have an immensely negative impact on California, Western, and Southern States in the long run and furthermore the housing prices are so expensive here, which is why I have my eyes set on the Great Lakes Region because of the plentiful natural resources and cooler climate.
