So far there is one that stood out (BB&T) they manage and service all their loans compared to several others that will sell them after. 

The way we work with a slate roof is simply to remove all the slate from the section of roof where the solar array will go, then tie in to the trusses/rafters with standoffs and either use a rolled asphalt surface or a rubber membrane to seal the portion of roof under the panels, then replace some of the slate around the edges so it's a seamless transition from slate to solar.

All attempts at make believe transferring control - such as using "a protector" or moving the trust 'off shore' have not stood the test of time.  

I'm glad you stood your ground with the contractor. 

While my partner stood to lose the time value of his labor (really opportunity cost), it's not the same as losing already-earned post-tax dollars. 

Hi @Douglas Benner, a couple of things stood out to me.Vacancy: If operating as long term and not Airbnb, your vacancy rate should account for the placement fee you're going to have to pay to the PM company as well as the turnover costs not covered by the deposit.

If you are able to run your hand between the top of the wall's frame and the truss (if it is this style) then it is not load bearing.
