I am not aware of them getting accounts receivable financing.. our biggest supplier is lumber and its a huge company ParrOur monthly draws are about 500k spread between many subs.. so not to much to carry for all the individual subs... but they want their check on the 10th and if you don't pay them they leave LOL.Also in Oregon properly done material man leins are super leins they jump ahead of the bank or any other creditor except property taxs.. so subs who have the brain power to send pre lien notices in accordance with the law .. they are going to get paid one way or another its really quite a great place to be a sub in that regard..

Scott mentioned, if you lack experience, get an inspection up front so you don't miss something and they can come back when you're done to ensure the buyer will be happy.....home warranties can be worth it in the retail market.Don't tie up money in materials to just sit there, buying an HVAC unit 3 months before it goes in isn't wise, order it, have the supplier hold it, pick up and pay before installation.

Personally I do not mind bringing business somewhere else, last year I bought 3,000 angle stops and 3,000 faucet SS hoses, sent them a sample/spec, HD sells them for $6-8/pc, supplier prices were $1-1.15/pc, spent another $.50-.60/pc on air cargo and etc.
