I'm not religious, but that "serenity" prayer is probably worth considering: give me strength to change the things that I can, courage to face which I cannot, and wisdom to know the difference.

I am assuming that since this is a new house, taxes are just on the land and you are in for a rude awakening next year.

Regardless I have truck payments that I make religiously and haven't missed once, I signed up for a credit card yesterday (that I will only use for fuel and will pay back in full every month), and I called for my student loans to be put back on auto pay and after 10 months they will be back out of default and I can pay them off in full at a much smaller principal.  

Not having purchased a commercial building with no parking, I had a rude awakening today talking to the city zoning department about parking ordnances for different types of business.

I have religiously used the older system and tightened up my estimates thanks to the capabilities that it offered along with knowledge of my market.  

Best case, had 2 nuns from a religious order who wanted to do that.

We started listening to BP religiously and spent every night talking about the endless possibilities in real estate.

Our situation was a little different but wanted to add in a positive experience of having a friend as a tenant in one of our properties.Backstory: He’s a dear friend of my wife’s whole community and something of a religious sage to them.

If you just smacked a price on your house because you thought that “that sounds about right,” you may be in for a rude awakening when you realize you priced your home far too high, or an investor calls begging you to take their money at above asking price!

I would just religiously be on the look out for the property to see if it comes up on auctions or get in contact with local wholesalers to see if someone was found and the person wants to sell it.
