They are usually responsible for anything consumable like light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, filters, etc.

It turns out the camera was not functional...just one of those that look real with the battery powered led light.

(ending the need to take them down).Also they expire in 10 years (there should be a date label on them), and if you want, you can get 10 year no battery replacement models.Good Luck!
