And, if the job is not done correctly, the contractor should definitely fix the issue (immediately) and definitely complete before receiving a  payment.(6) Indicate in the Agreement/Contract a Termination Clause with Cause (list as many possible causes as possible, ie- unsatisfactory work (after the 1st time the Contractor was requested to fix or correct the task/work); not completed on-time (perhaps provide a 2-day grace period); damage to property,furniture, or fixtures; and the like.Finally, depending on the size of the contractor, the contractor may request some type of upfront payment.
