Perhaps @David Overland you could shed some light on why? 

I'm even leery about getting a storage shed for my backyard.

My husband and I moved to a new city a few months ago, leaving behind our big, beautiful house (*sheds a tear*) and have since discovered Bigger Pockets, so we are considering house-hacking a duplex in our new city.

They built a shed, moved a large storage trailer onto the site, added a shelf to the bottom side of the carport roof, blocked the egress to the back door by setting up shelves in the interior hallway, started storing things under a tarp outside the back door and even created fencing around that pile.We negotiated with them that they could keep the shed, but the trailer had to be moved off the property, the shelf had to be removed from the carport structure, the egress to the back door had to be sufficient to use the exit and the outside pile under the tarp and its fencing had to go.  

I'm overseeing the sub work: get the bathroom showers tiled, floors tiled; get the 10'x20' shed disassembled and OFF the property, get 3 or 4 trees removed and the exterior painted.

@Brandon Schlichter I had to double check your purchase prices on your two deals, 20k, and 15.5k....you couldn't buy a burnt down shed for that amount out my way.

We might be able to shed some light on it if you let us know.

But maybe she loves the location because she can bike to work, and she'd absolutely love a shed to store her bike in.

I'm hoping those with more experience can shed some light on the decision.
