Newer water heater, updated electrical panel, and updated HVAC system with a newer condenser outside.

You may be able to tell by opening the panel and if you see soot, it maybe the furnace. 

Obviously there are good and bad spots for this.Ideally I would like to create an open environment, where neighbors can hang out with each other, enjoy the company of each other with the same ideals and living standards.There are other ways to incorporate the "green" side of things, such as a rain water collection system, or solar panels on each house for power...Parking would be an issue.

Electric I keep on but sometimes they will disconnect fast, then I wire a generator into the panel, while working or showing the unit until it is restored.Have no choice on the water as they are multi but as Steve said, always shut the main off when leaving.

He said the only damage to the house is the basement - there was water damage on the wood paneling.

I also use Kwikset 910 Z-wave with Qolysys Panel/Controller provided by Livewatch (they do my security) I have my thermostats and smoke detectors synced, it's awesome. 

Modular.. precast... stick frame... sips (structural insulated panel system ??)..

But I see houses selling with green carpet, paneling, 1970s painted cabinets, and they fetch the same price as updated homes.  

Before refinancing I painted the 70s wood paneling and replaced flooring.

At this point I'd paint that white, though that may have been a good candidate for replacement with a six-panel door during rehab.
