Hello all was wondering if anyone is in the Richmond Va or general Va area who invest in multi fam property or apartment who would be willing to give me  guidance on the building blocks of starting on either in the right way..i was told to post in here instead of the pro forum lol..any help or ideas would be appreciated 

Spoke to HR block and it seems HR Block person understands my situation and wants see my tax filing papers to make sure that make sense to file rental property depreciation for last 3 tax years which is 2014, 2013 and 2012.

As Mark stated above, proving 2 years of income is essential and write offs (as necessary and tempting as they can be) can place some serious road blocks on your path to home ownership. 

If you want non-HOA properties there was a 3bed w/1 car parking near japantown that didn't sell for 1.3m...because two others on the same block sold recently for 1.2m.

Truly it does "take money to make money", but the amount of money is open for discussion.If money to invest in real estate was not an initial stumbling block, what area of real estate investing would be your target?  

I used this a couple of days ago to avoid driving by the same block more than once and it worked well.

For example, on the block I have my duplex, every single house uses window units.Quite frankly, I love having window units. 

Might take you 30 minutes to move 3 blocks.
