Matt Atkinson runs these meetings much like a workshop and they tend to be much more participatory.  

They used a lot of motivational and testimonials tactics and promises of tools they will provide to get you going in the RE Investment business if you go to their 3 day workshop for a $2000 fee.

Think of all these courses, workshops, mastermind groups, etc. claiming to hold all the secrets to successful real estate investing.

For example, we have  property for sale right now that has a 3/1 house on the lot with a 2 bedroom apt that sits on top of a 2 car garage and workshop.

I attended a few workshops virtually but haven’t found an in person meet up to join yet.

I came to my local Texas REIA and attended the 3-day workshop.

To expand a little, I am in a similar situation as you in that the house has an attached garage and a 625 sq. ft workshop behind the house.
